Setting up your iPhone to use email with Crystaltech - SmarterMail

1. Tap "Settings"
2. Tap "Mail"
3. Tap "Add Account..."
4. Tap "Other"
5. Tap "POP"
6. Enter this Information in the screen; Examples are below each entries description --For the examples we'll assume my Name is Georges S. and my email address is georges@crystaltech.com and the password is 'icandoit'--
Name: ex. Name: Georges S. Address: ex. Address: georges@crystaltech.com Description: ex. Descriptions: My crystaltech email
-Incoming Mail Server- Host Name: ex. Host Name: mail.crystaltech.com User Name: ex. User Name: georges@crystaltech.com Password: ex. Password: icandoit (will display as just dots)
-Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)- (all the same as the fist section) Host Name: ex. Host Name: mail.crystaltech.com User Name: ex. User Name: georges@crystaltech.com Password: ex. Password: icandoit (will display as just dots)
7. Tap "Save"
8. Back at the main screen repeat steps 1 and 2.
9. Click on your new Mail account (ex. My crystaltech email) (should appear above "Add Account...")
10. Scroll down and Tap "Advanced"
11. Use the following options;
-Incoming Settings- Use SSL: Off Authentication: Password > (some recommend using the "MD5 Challenge-Response") Server Port: 110
-Outgoing Settings- Use SSL: Off Authentication: Password Server Port: 8889
12. Save the settings and you should be all set to start receiving emails.
Note: There are many more settings that the iPhone has for emails but that is beyond the scope of this tutorial. Please check your manual for further details on these settings.
